The Carolina Hurricanes have signed goaltenders Pyotr Kochetkov and Eetu Makiniemi to entry-level contracts, beginning next season.

Makiniemi was selected by Carolina in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft. He spent his year in the Liiga, Finland’s highest league, posting a .907 save percentage in 34 games. Makiniemi’s deal, which is also two years, carries an AAV of $867,500.
