The Avalanche need to get the offense back on track. They have scored six goals -- four on power plays -- while losing the first three games of a five-game homestand that concludes Tuesday against Buffalo.
J.T. Compher will start at left wing as Gabriel Landeskog's fill-in on the top line with Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen. Landeskog has two games remaining on his four-game suspension.
Kari Lehtonen will start in goal for the Stars, who have won four games in a row and are 6-1-0 in their past seven. They defeated Chicago 3-2 in a shootout Saturday.
