The Islanders announced that have reassigned Josh Ho-Sang to Bridgeport on Wednesday.
Ho-Sang was scratched the last two games. He recorded four assists in the six games he played this season. He developed a bit of chemistry with Brock Nelson during that time.
There were a couple of hiccups along the way, like an ill-advised turnover that led to a shorthanded goal against the Kings. His punishment should not have been a demotion. When you have young players on your roster you have to take the good with the bad. Head coach Doug Weight has been a bit hypocritical when saying he will sit a veteran for a game if they struggle. Jason Chimera has done nothing to warrant a guaranteed spot among the 12 forwards.
That being said, going down to Bridgeport makes sense if all Ho-Sang was going to do with the Islanders was wear a suit during the game.
No replacement has been named as of yet.
