Hayes, Hendricks, Beaulieau and Kiselevich come to Winnipeg. (injuries)

Breaking:

It's a logjam of hopeful bodies for the LHD- tryouts start tomorrow vs Minnesota.

This late one from Minnesota is funny but bringing back a glue guy Matt Hendricks. Do what you want with it.

This is a quick hit on the trade that has brought Kevin Hayes to Winnipeg for this year's first round pick, Brendan Lemieux and a conditional 4th round pick (should the Jets win the Stanley Cup).

This is a shrewd move to sell Lemieux while value is high and getting Hayes is going to give the Jets depth and options as it is clear that Jack Roslovic not the answer to the 4th line centre position.

In theory and first guess it would appear Hayes is going allow the Jets to move their line orders.

Laine, Scheifele Wheeler Connor, Hayes, Ehlers Perreault, Little Roslovic/Appelton Copp, Lowry Tanev

The other aspect to the deal, while not cheap is that it's not so expensive as to prohibit Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff from making a move for help on left defence given the status and likely longer term injury for Josh Morrissey and his shoulder.

So let's do some spit ballin' on possible LD options for the Jets

Alex Edler- call up Benning and make him a pitch to ask Edler if he wants a chance at a run and see if you can flip Petan or some picks for him.

Kronwall- did I say that? Again desperate times requires desperate measures and he'd be cheap

Ben Hutton- back to the Canucks, and yeah he's not going to move the needle. RFA though so probably not.

Brad Hunt- would the Wild want to make a deal to help the Jets?

Oscar Fantenberg- reaching for straws here from LA but that's what this market is all about s it's thin.

Are there other options of a UFA rental or RFA? If so Chevy should look at them and soon because

Chiarot Niku Kullikov

is not a defence that is going to instill any faith, or fear.
