There are quite a few great new candidates this year and many players from the past that really deserve to be in the Hall.
Some possibilities... Jarome Iginla... I would say Jarome is a lock. Should be and is...
Patrik Elias... The most underrated player of the past 25 years. The best forward on a Devils team that won multiple Cups.
Daniel Alfredsson.. The best Ottawa Senator of all time. One of the best Swedish players ever to play the game.
Shane Doan... The Best Coyote of all-time. Pure class and also a Team Canada staple.
Alexander Mogilny... How he is NOT in the Hall is ridiculous and shows strongly an anti-Russian bias. Mogilny was not only one of the all-time greats, his daring escape from Russia in the trunk of a car opened so many doors. There may not be an Ovechkin without him.
Mike Richter... I am continually baffled by this one. Granted, he grew up down the street from where I live, but Richter won a Cup and a World Cup. He wasn't just on teams that won those HE WAS THE PLAYER who won those championships. Without him, we would still be chanting "1940."
Brian Burke.. Builder. This is also WAY overdue.
