Frk back to face Habs in Montreal (Red Wings)

Looking to snap out of their second six-game losing streak of the NHL season, the Detroit Red Wings hope to get a shot of booster juice from the return of right-winger Martin Frk. The hard-shooting forward has missed the past eight games due to a groin injury, but will be ready to go as the Wings face their Atlantic Division rivals the Montreal Canadiens Saturday in the second half of a home-and-home set at the Bell Centre. “I know I have a good shot and tomorrow when play I have to go use it,… Frk told Detroitredwings.com. “The whole team needs to score more goals so I am very hopeful I can help the team to score and get on the scoresheet, and get the win as well.… Now, pinning all of their hopes on the return of one player would be as foolhardy as suggesting that the Wings’ current six-game slide is all the fault of defenseman Danny DeKeyser. DeKeyser returned from an ankle injury six games ago and is minus-eight in that span as the Wings went 0-3-3. “I think just getting two points would help everybody’s confidence in here,… DeKeyser said. “When you’re winning, everything is going a little smoother for everybody. “We’ve just got to find a way to get a win and get off this streak and hopefully start a winning streak.… Frk had just come out of a slump of his own, ending a 10-game goalless drought by scoring in three of four games before he was injured, and there’s no doubt that his right-hand shoot will add another dangerous weapon to Detroit’s power play.
