We had a very average night after Buffalo couldn't get a shot on a goal for almost half the game against Ottawa while getting 6 PP chances, that summed up the Sabre's effort! Ride the Oilers with this new coaching staff until they lose, they look so dominant! 1st period totals went over at a 7-3 clip last night, while the Dogs had a slight edge going 6-4. Only 4 games on the card tonight, analysis below.
NSH/CAR - Carolina blew it against FL the other night and now they have Pitt on deck. The Canes should knock off the Preds who have lost all 3 of their games since the All-Star break and Saros is looking very tired in goal, which you knew would eventually catch up to him. CAR won at NSH earlier in the season 3-2, but the Canes have lost 4 of 5 games since the break too! I still think CAR -169 gets it done at home tonight.
FL/MIN - The Panthers struggle on the road and this Minny team is so different at home with one of the best home records in the league, they absolutely dominate on home ice! FL beat MIN on home ice back on November 5-4. The Wild go over the total a lot at home too. Minny is 11-3 in their last 14 games, but those 3 losses all came on the road. Getting Minny at even money on home ice, strong lean to the Wild in this spot.
DAL/CHI - The Stars sat rested as CHI lost at home to CLB with their 3rd goalie in goal, resting Fleury for tonight. The Hawks have lost 9 of their last 12 games and are just starting a 6 game homestand. Dallas won earlier this season 4-3OT over Chicago and these 2 teams have gone over the total in 7 straight games head to head! Huge leans to Dallas -138 and the over 5.5!
LA/VEG - The Kings have only played one game since the All-Star break and start a 4 game roadie tonight. Vegas is banged up with Lehner and Stone out, they beat EDM 4-0 then the coach got fired. They have followed that up with back-to-back shutout losses to CAL and COL. This game is a pass for me as Vegas shouldn't be a -175 fav over many teams right now.
