Flyers Preseason Gameday: 10/5/23 vs. NYI (Flyers)

In the final game of the 2023 preseason, the Flyers (2-2-1 in exhibition play) will host the New York Islanders (2-2-0) at the Wells Fargo Center on Thursday evening. Game time is 7:00 p.m. EDT. The game will be televised on NBC Sports Philadelphia. The radio broadcast is on 97.5 The Fanatic with an online simulcast on Flyers Radio 24/7.

Flyers head coach John Tortorella indicated that Bobby Brink will not play in the finale, nor will Emil Andrae or Egor Zamula. He said that all have had good camps and there's been enough information collected over the course of camp to where the organizations feels comfortable making decisions. In Brink's case, the player just played three preseason games in four days (Friday in Boston, Saturday at home against the Devils and Monday at home against the Bruins). On defense, Tortorella wanted to get Marc Staal into a second preseason game and felt that Sean Walker also needed some more work.
