The NHL hosted its annual skills competition at their all star game festivities and as is the case every year there were some things to talk about. Most notably among those was Marc-Andre Fleury's performance in the breakaway goaltending event. He stopped 14 consecutive shooters to take home the victory. This should not come as a surprise to Penguins fans as this is something that he's been great at for a long time.

The new accuracy contest had some LED twists to it. Instead of the players getting to select where to shoot it was dictated to them by which target was lit up. Also different was that the players didn't need to receive passes. They were able to grab pucks from a big pile. Sid didn't defend his title, but had an OK run

Kris Letang drew one of the short straws because he got nominated to in what is probably the most difficult event. He had to deal with the mini nets.

That isn't easy to do and it's easy to look bad doing it. Letang got out of there looking OK. I don't know what that middle section is all about. They can probably ditch that in the future.
It's not a perfect event, but it's still gives you enough moments to keep coming back to it year after year.
