I asked the fans on twitter today what coaches should be in trouble and three names came up loud and clear...What do you all think?
#1. Mike Yeo in St. Louis.
While many on the outside (and inside) keep looking to the Blues goaltending as the obvious issue, many fans are saying this is a coaching issue....That the system and especially the defense is way too suspect under Yeo.
#2. Dave Hakstol in Philly.
Over the last few days Hakstol's name has come up...and yes, again some are turning to the Flyers issues in their own net. Hextall does love Hakstol, but don't think for a second he won't make a change if he senses the team is checked out. Hakstol's name has come up before, but every time it does the Flyers have rallied.... Will this year be any different?
#3. John Stevens in LA.
The Kings are getting a ton of pressure to rebuild from their fans, but internally I don't get a sense the ownership is anywhere close to a rebuild....And if they aren't Stevens has to get more out of this group...
4. Todd McLellan in Edmonton.
To me this may be the most dire situation...the Oilers kept him over the summer, but brought in new assistants...THAT almost never ends well, and with the Oilers start....
5. Jeff Blashill in Detroit.
The Wings are committed to a rebuild, and yet we are very unsure in Blashill will be there for it. Jeff has tons of respect throughout the NHL and would land elsewhere...the question to Holland is "Do I rebuild with Jeff Blashill or someone else?
