Happy Monday Hockey World!
It's time to get down to it and figure out one simple question:
"Who the Heck Will Be On the Las Vegas Golden Knights?"
Each day I will post a few teams and their protection list so the HockeyBuzzards out there can select the players these teams should be protecting. I will also post any rumors I have heard to this point regarding the specific team in the blog...The rules are simple. You can select either 7 forwards, 3 defensemen, and 1 goalie OR 8 Skaters of any kind and 1 Goalie.
However those numbers will change on each team because of the fact that players with No Movement Clauses have to be protected. For example, with the Bruins you can only protect 4 forwards because Bergeron, Backes,and Krejci are automatically protected. In terms of defense you can ONLY protect 2 because Chara is automatic.
So if you want to go the 8 Skater Route, you can really only protect 4 additional skaters.
Rumors: I have heard the Bruins could offer Krejci to Vegas in order to get the Knights to NOT take a defenseman off of their roster...Also it is possible that Chara could somehow play into some side deal...The Bruins are concerned they will lose a very good young D-man.

*Calgary is back in the playoffs and the Kings are out. *Montreal is now in a very solid position atop the Atlantic. *Columbus has moved into second place past Pittsburgh despite the Penguins winning both games this weekend. The remaining schedule favors the Jackets.
There are some HUGE games coming up tonight, and I will post the predictions in my afternoon blog.
