Congratulations are in order for Jack Eichel who is now the third youngest Buffalo Sabres player to reach 100 career points:
Pierre Turgeon (19 years, 156 days) Phil Housely (19 years, 276 days) Jacob Eichel (20 years, 130 days) Dave Andreychuk (20 years, 143 days)
It took Eichel just 127 career games to accomplish the most auspicious feat.
Eichel assisted on Evander Kane's first period PPG to extend his NHL-leading consecutive point streak to Gilbert Perreault games. Eleven games for those scoring at home.
Eichel scored a second period PPG and a third period 5v5 goal.
Eichel's point streak is tied for the 2nd-longest by an NHL player this season and one shy of Mikael Granlund's 12-game streak set January 12 to February 4.
With a PPG and and PPA, Eichel has extended his career-best point streak to 11 games. He has 16 points (5G, 11A) during that time frame.
Eichel now leads the NHL with 24 points scored (6G, 18A) since February 1. Eichel is now tied for 9th with 45 points (18G, 27A) since returning from his high ankle sprain on November 29.
Since February 4, Eichel leads all NHL scorers in points with 24 (6G, 18A). Patrick Kane and Jonathon Toews have 19 points apiece in that window. Nikita Kucherov and Jamie Benn have 18 poinst apiece.
