The NHL's Department of Player Safety has suspended Dallas forward Cody Eakin four games for his elbow to the head of New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist.

Ottawa forward Mike Hoffman has also been suspended two games for cross-checking San Jose's Logan Couture.

As I continue to finalize the Rumor Chart (waiting on one more source before putting it up) I was speaking with an NHL executive who informed me that he believes NHL replay will soon be extended to include possible high-sticking penalties... And there's a possibility coaches could challenge these calls on the ice.
I for one, think this is a great idea and long overdue.
