Team Russia is always fascinating for sure…. There is no lack of experienced, talented players on Russia, but also they are aging up front and that could mean one of two things. Either they are going to have a tough time keeping up or does this group see this as their last big shot?
The Russians are weaker than the other top countries on defense, but they are by far the best team in goal of any country…They have at least 6 goalies that would ,make any other roster, including the best goalie on the planet right now… Andrei Vasilevskiy
This team I put together takes into account Russian Hockey’s inclination to bring on some KHL players…
Forwards:
Alex Ovechkin Evgeni Malkin Nikita Kucherov Artemi Panarin Vladislav Namestnikov Andrei Svechnikov Ilya Kovalchuk Ivan Barbashev Vladimir Tarasenko Pavel Buchnevich Alex Radulov Kirill Kaprizov
Defense:
Ivan Provorov Mikhail Sergachev Dmitry Orlov Alex Romanov Vladislav Gavrikov Nikita Zadorov
Goalies:
Andrei Vasilevskiy Semyon Varlamov Ilya Sorokin
How good is this team? How would you change them?
