The four game road trip continues tonight when the Wild visit Carolina. The Wild took the first meeting in what was a pivotal point in their season.
That game came on the heels of a couple really bad losses for the Wild, with the teetering around the .500 mark. Sam Steel scored the game tying goal and Alex Goligoski potted the game winner. Goligoski capped his 1000th game celebration in Hollywood style that night, with his family on hand.
Goligoski is going to play tonight as he slots in to replace Matt Dumba who will be a healthy scratch. Dumba has been the topic of trade talk seemingly for the last several seasons but it is a reality now as the impending unrestricted free agent will be moved.
So is tonight's decision a precursor of a deal?
We will have to wait and see, but if it isn't, we have to wonder why this decision is being made.
It's always Hockey Day in The State of Hockey!
