Anthony Duclair has been available since this past summer, and many teams have shown interest but the price was crazy...The one team from this summer that was most interested was the Islanders...but at that point the Isles were looking to add help for Tavares...that was before this season and now that the Isles are getting plenty of scoring I would have expected them to be out on Duclair...
And yet...I keep hearing they are VERY interested. Still.
They aren't the only team...Montreal is also still on the list, and likes Duclair as a long term solution...
On the Penguins...
Something that I think sort of flew under the radar was the fact the Penguins tried hard to land Matt Duchene...and they are still looking at improving with a big deal. Ian Cole would be part of the trade, but don't be shocked if the Penguins get in on Pacioretty....at all.
