The Anaheim Ducks have re-signed goaltender Ryan Miller to a one-year contract, worth $1 million.

The new contract comes with a slight pay decrease for Miller but considering the fact that he’ll see limited action backing up John Gibson in a shortened season, probably playing only 25 per cent of games, it’s a fair deal.

One interesting storyline to track will be Miller climbing the NHL’s all-time wins list. Miller currently ranks 15th all-time in wins for a goaltender, at 387, and could continue climbing that list this season.

Regardless, Miller’s return ensures that Anaheim can be confident in their goaltending, no matter who’s in net, and it’s great to see that he’s returning for yet another NHL season.
