The Anaheim Ducks (4-3-1) continue their four-game road trip tonight against the Flordia Panthers (3-5-0) at the BB&T Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT.
This will be the first of a two-game season series between the Ducks and the Panthers. Anaheim is 13-14-4 all-time against Florida and 6-6-3 against them on the road. These two teams will not have to wait too long to complete their season series as they are set to meet again on November 19th at Honda Center.
Winners of two straight games, this will be the fourth of seven consecutive contests against Eastern Conference teams for Anaheim. The Ducks posted a 16-10-6 record against Eastern Conference teams last season and were 9-4-3 against teams in the Atlantic Division.
The Ducks have caught the scoring bug recently, posting six goals in their last two games against Philadelphia and Montreal. The last time Anaheim accomplished this feat was back in April of 2006 against the Vancouver Canucks and the Los Angeles Kings.
One player to keep a close eye on tonight is Antoine Vermette. He has ten goals and eight assists in 28 career games against the Panthers, the most among active Ducks players.
