Good news everybody!
J Drouin has recovered from his bout with a nasty flu virus and will be back in the line up for Saturday’s game against C McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.
Drouin has missed the Montreal Canadiens last 4 games (2-1-1).
GALCHENYUK HAS REQUESTED A TRADE?
There was a rumor going around social media today that A Galchenyuk has requested a trade. I don’t claim to have any insider info but I’m going to presume he hasn’t. I think that with Galchenyuk only getting about a minute worth of ice in the 3rd period last game it gave some Habs media a new pile to toss some gas on.
"I think there’s still some untapped potential there that we continue working with him on. The biggest thing is you can’t give up on him. You’ve got to keep trying to push the right buttons."- Claude Julien on Alex Galchenyuk

If I were to cast a “Yay… or “Nay… vote on if I believed Galchenyuk has requested out I would vote NAY. I don’t think the team or Galchenyuk himself are happy with his game so far but both are working towards improving it.
One thing I can get behind is the outcry surrounding Julien’s OT deployments. With all that ice we should be seeing the young speedsters, not Plekanec ... ever again... ever. Yes, I realize it was Danault who made an all or nothing play (and failed) that led to the odd man rush that ended the game, but give these kids a chance Claude. Speed kills. Let’s use it.
