World Juniors getting ready to give us all a taste of the future.
As I mentioned, Mercer making Team Canada but Devils fans have more to look forward to.
Again, no surprise that Alexander Holtz made Team Sweden for the second year in a row after taking a bronze medal. He will likely slot in the top line with Lucas Raymond. Looking forward to seeing those two play together.
Patrick Moynihan will also represent the Devils and Team USA. Jack Hughes’ buddy and Devils sixth round pick will continue to develop. I am curious to see his role on the team and where he slots in. As an overall solid two-way player, Moynihan’ time on the ice should be in critical times.
Shakir Mukhamadullin (Shak) has also made Team Russia’s roster. This makes all three Devils first round picks playing in the tournament. Shak has made great progress and may arguably be the top defenseman on this Russia squad.
Joining Shak is Arseniy Gritsyuk , Devils 5th round pick in 2019. We haven’t heard much of the 19 year old, but the small skilled forward has been compared to Cole Caufield.
The countdown to the Tournament is on, with 12 days till puck drop we will soon get a taste of hockey again.
