Devils Back At Practice, Luke Hughes Ripping It Up (Devils)

It has not been your typical 82 game NHL schedule season. We’ve had many stops and starts to the season as the New Jersey Devils are getting back to practice and in a middle of an eight day layoff. Hopefully, good things lie ahead for New Jersey in the next 32 games to finish the season.

Here’s some of the good injury news:

1. Dougie Hamilton is practicing with the regular practice jersey on and getting his reps. He had been trying on different helmets and finding one that is getting comfortable before his return to the lineup. Let’s hope Hamilton, who commands a salary of over $105K per game, finds a comfortable helmet soon to use because the Devils need him in the lineup, especially when he is an integral part of the defense and power play. 2. Jesper Bratt is feeling better and had been practicing on his own while recuperating from an upper body injury. According to New Jersey Devils reporter Amanda Stein, Bratt should be ready when the Devils take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh on Thursday.

3. Andreas Johnsson is back at practice after being a late scratch last Sunday against the Penguins.

The bad injury news: Janne Kuokkanen is still out with a wrist injury.

Devils will have the day off tomorrow and will be back Tuesday for practice.

Luke Hughes Ripping It Up!

Jack Hughes is only 20. Jack’s younger brother Luke is only 18. Since Owen Power went overseas with Team Canada to play in the Olympics, Luke Hughes has been in the spotlight and for good reason. He is simply just putting on a show.

This Luke Hughes play is simply ridiculous!
