The Washington Capitals have place RW Devante Smith-Pelley on waivers as reported by Elliotte Friedman of Hockey Night in Canada.

Interesting developments in DC as General Manager Brian MacLellan looks like he is gearing up for a potential move.
Madison Bowey and Andre Burakovsky, as well as this years 1st, are in play as I see it. GM wants to improve the middle-six position and the Caps need two-way help.
