For the latest Leafs updates or Follow @mikeinbuffalo on Twitter Winning their third straight game against the Edmonton Oilers and anticipation of John Tavares return to Long Island took a backseat for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as they lost defenseman Travis Dermott in the third period of the 6-2 victory at Scotiabank Arena on Wednesday. Dermott was hit by Oilers fourth liner Brad Malone, fell awkwardly into the boards and left the ice in significant pain holding his left arm. Head coach Mike Babcock indicated after the game that the Leafs blueliner suffered a shoulder injury and would be out week-to-week.
