NHL Rumors is mentioning (or questioning) a fit for Debrincat in Detroit. If you go to the rumor tracker on the Hockeybuzz home page, Ek is hearing that Debrincat’s availability may take precedent of Konecny. Blake Wheeler and Mark Sheifele are both available (as is Nino Niederreiter). Carolina is trying to get DeAngelo back, but if that fell through, is there interest?
Look, the only thing I’m sure of is “we’ll know when we know…. Yzerman doesn’t float balloons. Boston really seems to want to keep Bertuzzi but Florida wants him as well. This bodes very well for Bert as any bidding war will add some $ or potentially bonus money. Either way, he’s got a chance to play with a better team, and personally I’d probably go Florida. I think Boston is going to try and kick the can but we’ve all lived through that.
Right shot winger, Right shot D, Center and backup or co-goalie. Pretty much everything needs to be addressed. There’s no shortage of room to improve. Let me know where you’re at, if you think there’s a reality regarding Debrincat or Konecny. I thought Konecny would be a less complicated deal as Ottawa probably doesn’t want to see “the cat… playing so close by. Who knows.
I hope you’re all excited for the draft, we’ll see how it pans out. I wanted to let each of you know how much I appreciate you and what being able to do this has meant to me. Praying for better days ahead for everyone and just enjoying some hockey.
