The Islanders have recalled forwards Anthony Beauvillier and Michael Dal Colle on an emergency basis and recalled defenseman Sebastian Aho from Bridgeport.
It looks like both Josh Bailey and Andrew Ladd will out for Saturday’s afternoon game against the New York Rangers. Tomorrow is the first day that the team can practice following the league-mandated bye week.
This will be Dal Colle’s first callup. The road has been bumpy for the fifth overall pick in 2014. He struggled out of the gate this season and was scratched for a game. He’s been playing his best hockey of the season recently. In 34 games, Dal Colle has five goals and 13 assists.
Beauvillier had another strong game last night. He channeled his inner Mat Barzal last night with his puck possession. He finished with seven shots.
