Knock knock
Who’s there
COVID
This is the Penguins season so far. Both Sidney Crosby and Brian Dumoulin now have COVID. This after Kris Letang, Zach Aston-Reese, Marcus Pettersson, and Chad Ruhwedel also missed time to the virus. Sidney Crosby has symptoms which means he is gone for at least ten days
Mike Sullivan says that Sidney Crosby and Brian Dumoulin confirmed positive for COVID.

Crosby has mild symptoms. Dumoulin is asymptomatic
Chad Ruhwedel and Marcus Pettersson remain in protocol and have mild symptoms
The Penguins are currently on a three game losing streak so losing Crosby and potentially Dumoulin is pretty rough. It’s been a hellish start to the year as far as the Penguins and the availability of their players.
Kris Letang has not been ruled out to return for tomorrow night’s game. This is what he went through while out
Kris Letang: "I had pretty much all the symptoms. Congestion, headaches, pressure in the forehead, coughing, loss of taste and smell, body aches and pain in the lower back. That lasted between 4-5 days, and after that, it was getting better and better every day."

It could have been worse if not for the vaccination which mitigates symptoms and prevent serious hospitalizations. Letang is back to high intensity workouts
Kris Letang: "I felt pretty good today. I skated after the guys on Monday, and skated on my own Tuesday for an hour and a half at a pretty high intensity. Today was another step in the right direction. Tomorrow morning I’ll skate and see how it goes."

The Penguins will take the ice against the Flyers tomorrow night, at least the players they have left.
