Follow @james_tanner123 The Coyotes begin the new NHL season tonight against the Ducks.
The hopes are high for a Coyotes team that has been completely revamped since John Chayka took over for the disgraced Don Maloney.
The team has drafted potential superstar Clayton keller, who will begin the season riding shot-gun with Domi and other recent key acquisition Derek Stepan.
Unfortunately the goalie acquired to lead the team to the promised land, Aanti Raanta, was injured in the preseason so Louis Domingue gets the start tonight.
The NHL never tells us why a person is injured, but we do know it's the lower body. I'm not saying it's an injury to the wiener, but it could be. Kids, wear your protective cups!!

I think I liked it better when Martinook was on a line with Strome and Perlini, because I fear those guys with Crouse will get killed in possession, but we shall see. It's a potentially very deep lineup, with - also potentially - one of the best fourth lines in the NHL.
In the good news dept. I saw Sarah MacLellan tweet that Chychrun is skating and ahead of schedule. Once he's back, the Coyotes defense is insane.
I can't wait until tonight's game, and I look forward to writing tomorrow about how the Coyotes destroyed the Ducks 9-2, which is my prediction for this evenings affair.
