The Coyotes have lost their six games in a row.
They just went 0-5 on a homestand and now must travel to Calgary for a New Years eve game.
This is what happens when your goalie stops playing like Dominick Hasek. This is what happens when your penalty killing (related to goaltending) goes south - cause the thing is, the Coyotes are playing some of their best hockey of the year.
Duclair has two goals in two games and the team overall has out-possessed their opponent for four straight games - even though the results have been unfavorable.
This is somewhat ironic because up to this point the Coyotes have been by far the worst possession team in the NHL, and previous to the last four games, have gotten incredibly favorable results that suggest their record should be much worse than it is.
That being said, this is why small samples can be problematic. The Coyotes are the worst team in the NHL by a mile - and losing four in a row where they (at least) gave themselves a very good chance to win is just the kind of balancing-out that occurs when your record is better than it should be.

Thats the most I can talk about the Coyotes. They are brutal. Yet somehow better than the Avalanche.

Here's my advice: get yourself a copy of Mario World 3-D, order some pizza and listen to the new Tribe Called Quest record - it's clearly the best record of the year and anyone who tells you differently shouldn't be trusted.

If you're "lucky" enough to get Sportsnet be sure to check out the 24/7 Road to the Winter Classic (or whatever it's called) - I've been watching it with my son and it's been a blast. Always fun to get to know the stories/personalities around the players, which is something I haven't really paid attention to since I got a DVR and could skip all commercials and intermissions.
