Coyotes Look to Avoid Tenth Straight Loss (Rangers)

The Coyotes are putting all their hopes into Adin Hill.

Adin Hill, the Coyotes fourth string goaltender coming into training camp this year will get his third start. Annti Raanta is on the road trip and will be back soon, but he won't be playing tonight. The less said about Louis Dominge the better.

I'll go more into this on a later blog, but if there is one thing the Coyotes' awful start to the season is demonstrating its that NHL teams love to skimp on their back-up goalies and they probably shouldn't. It's one thing if you're a team playing chicken with the salary cap, but the Coyotes, who aren't anywhere near it, should definitely be willing to invest in a back-up goalie.

If they had, they would be currently be doing a hell of a lot better.

It's also worth pointing out that Mike Smith is doing pretty swell in Calgary. Not that anyone thought keeping him was the way to go, but Annti Raanta could end up being the second coming of Dominick Hasek and the team still needs a damn back-up goalie.

In other Coyotes news, the team has demoted Lawson Crouse and it's about time. He is awful.

Dylan Strome scored his first goal of the year in the AHL the other night and it was pretty sweet. I believe he had a three point game. Not bad. The Coyotes have to get him up here as soon as possible. When they do, perhaps he could get a couple NHL players on his line and we can see how he does.

I still can't believe they blew that Islanders game. Tonight's game is against the Rangers, which is the bare minimum a game preview should be telling you! The game will also be played on ice and at night. Derek Stepan will look to make the Rangers regret trading him.

Hopefully they don't go down 0-10 I don't think Howler can take it.
