Closing out five-game trip (Avalanche)

The Avalanche play in Minnesota on Thursday to close out their five-game road trip.

They've gone 3-1-0 in the first four games and are 5-1-0 in the past six overall.

On the injury front, coach Jared Bednar told reporters after the morning skate that captain Gabriel Landeskog, who will miss his 11th game with a lower-body injury, still hasn’t skated and will visit the doctor Monday to be re-evaluated.

Bednar said right wing Mikko Rantanen, who will miss his 13th game with a lower-body injury, continues to skate and is getting close to returning.

Forward Tyson Jost will miss his third game with an upper-body injury but is closest of all the injured players to returning.

Philipp Grubauer will start again after making 31 saves Tuesday in the Avalanche’s 3-2 win in Calgary.
