On Chara...
Looking back at the press conference Cam Neely gave a week ago when discussing Chara, this move to Washington isn’t very surprising. Neely talked about wanting to get most ice-time and a longer look at other defensemen. That is NOT something you say about a Bruins Legend.
Chara as a Cap is highly intriguing and may change the balance of power a bit in the new division. I am quite sure we are in for more surprises..including the Bruins...who want to get a faster and more shifty defenseman to fill in for Chara....Sami Vatanen is almost the perfect fit.
The Bruins haven’t loved their defense for a while and although it feels like years ago, it is worth noting they were among the finalist for Pietrangelo....
There is also talk that they could look toward a trade and of course, Noah Hanifin’s name is bound to be tied back to Boston. One day....
Kind if expecting a quiet two days here as we say a big goodbye to 2020....so therefore you know that whenever you think nothing is going to happen.....look out!
