The NHL continues to run the concept of the outdoor game into the ground, with today's matchup taking place in Annapolis, Maryland.
Where I am, it's about 15 degrees celcius, so one assumes today's game will be a road-hockey matchup with the puck replaced by a tennis ball.

The Capitals will take on the Leafs and I will be cheering for the Leafs. Sue me! I'm from Toronto. The Capitals, back in first place in their division, will be looking to win for the first time in a Braden Holtby game in about a month. For the Caps, one positive is that Auston Matthews won't be playing. Unfortunately for them, Mitch Marner will be.
It's not been an actual month, it just seems like it. Holtby has lost straight while Phillip Grubaur has picked up the teams last four wins.
The Devils, Jackets and Hurricanes are all coming on strong and it is shaping up to be a wild finish. It looks almost assured that the Capitals will be a playoff team, but they are going to need Holtby (who has propped them up for the majority of the year) to pick it back up if they want to avoid a wild card situation.
