Hey there hockeyworld.

We are officially in the "short-quick-hit-blog" point of the season as each day the rumors start to get more and more interesting and varied....

On Kyle Palmieri..

In my opinion, Palmieri may be the #1 forward available at this deadline. Bergeron in Montreal has come out and stated that due to the pandemic he wouldn't be shocked if he couldn't do much this deadline...That may be an attempt to set a low bar and distract the media, because everyone I speak to says he is making plenty of calls and has even made an apparent signifigant offer for Devils forward Kyle Palmieri...

The Islanders are also interested in Palmieri, but lately I am hearing they may have shifted their focus..

On Taylor Hall...

The Islanders have some room to play with right now and Lou Lamoriello is no stranger to some surprising big game hunting at the deadline. Remember when Lou won the Kovalchuk sweeps in NJ? Well, now I am hearing he may be looking hard at Taylor Hall.

There are quite a few teams who like Hall of course, and i still keep hearing Calgary's name being mentioned...Calgary is the likely landing spot for Hall this summer.

On the Flyers...

Fletcher has said he is being aggressive and looking hard for help on the D-end. The issue is whether or not to use some of the Flyers' assets NOW or hold out for Seth Jones who may be a possibility this summer. Based on his time in Minnesota, Fletcher tends to wait on things if there is a chance for a big grab. That is a very tenuous game to play and it may be wise to at least make a smaller move to infuse some help now...
