CBJ G82 v New York Islanders — Johnny B Proud (Blue Jackets)

The Columbus Blue Jackets conclude the 2024-2025 NHL regular season against the New York Islanders before the offseason officially begins.

Columbus was the final team eliminated from playoff contention after the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Carolina Hurricanes in regulation after their call to rest top stars. Despite the efforts and tweets from the Columbus new stations to former Jackets’ Jack Roslovic and Eric Robinson, the postseason will belong to five of the seven Canadian teams.

The Blue Jackets and Islanders conclude their fourth and final battle on the ice. Columbus has won two of the three games, and have outscored New York 7-6, including a shutout.

Columbus sits with the 13th overall selection in the 2025 draft. A regulation or overtime win will put them above Utah. An overtime loss will keep the Jackets at 13. A regulation loss by Columbus may have them fall to 12th with a Detroit regulation win.
