Over the weekend, it was announced that former Columbus Blue Jackets’ draft pick Jokaim Lindstrom had announced his retirement from professional hockey at the age of 39 years old.
In 37 games with Columbus, Lindstrom had 4 goals and 4 assists between 2005 and 2008. Lindstrom was traded out of Columbus to Anahiem for a 2010 fourth round draft selection.
Additionally, former Cleveland Monsters’ defenseman Tommy Cross retired from hockey at the age of 33. He only played one season with the Monsters, but played mostly with 34 points and 71 penalty minutes in 73 games with Cleveland in 2018-19.
