The Jets defenseman is 34 years old and has two more years left on his contract at $7.6 Million per season, but according to McKenzie he is contemplating his options and there’s no timetable for a decision.
This would be a blow to the Jets who lost Tyler Myers to free agency and traded Jacob Trouba to New York, and would leave them without all three of the right-handed defensemen that played for them last season.
