MULTI-POINT GAMES
Travis Konecny led the Flyers this season with 19 multi-point games (16 two-point, 2 three-point, one four-point). He was followed by Owen Tippett with 14 multi-point games (13 two-point, one three-point) and Kevin Hayes with 13 (11 two-point, 2 three-point). Morgan Frost, Noah Cates, and Tony DeAngelo were tied for fourth with nine multi-point games apiece. Note: Frost would have had 10 but a postgame scoring chance (12/22/22 @ TOR) deducted an originally credited assist.
The Flyers single-game high in points this season was four points. Morgan Frost did it twice (12/11/22 @ ARI, 1/5/23) while James van Riemsdyk (12/11/22 @ARI) and Travis Konecny (4/13/23 @ CHI) did it once apiece. Note: Konecny secured his four-point game with an overtime assist on the final play of the 2022-23 season.
Three Flyers players recorded hat tricks this season: Travis Konecny (1/11/23 vs WSH), Kevin Hayes (1/17/23 vs ANA), Owen Tippett 3/17/23 vs BUF).
Morgan Frost's four-assist game at home against Arizona on 1/5/23 was a single-game high for any Flyers player this season. Thirty seven Flyers players in franchise history have had at least one four-assist game.
Only one Flyers player had a multi-PPG game this season. Kevin Hayes accomplished the feat on Jan. 22 at home in a 5-3 loss to Winnipeg.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES (AGES 24 and Younger)
Morgan Frost: Frost led the Flyers in scoring over the final 56 games of the regular season (12/7/22 vs WSH to 4/13/23 @ CHI). In that span he posted 40 points. Over the same sample size, Frost led the club in even-strength points (36) and assists (24). He was third in goals with 16 (Travis Konecny led with 21, Owen Tippett was second with 20). Along the way, Frost established a new career-high five-game point streak (5g, 2a, 7 points) from March 28 to April 4. He posted 15 points (6g, 9a) over the season's final 14 games.
Owen Tippett: From New Year's onward (45 games), Tippett led the Flyers in goals (15) and was second in points with 29 (Frost led with 32). For the season as a whole, Tippett's eight power play goals led the team. He also led the club with 231 shots on goal. Over the season's final 24 games (Feb. 21 onward), Tippett logged more than 20 minutes of ice time 14 times. Over the final 15 games of the season, Tippett collected 15 points (9g. 6a).
Joel Farabee: Farabee tied his career-high point streak with a five-game streak from March 17th to 25th. During that span, he had a four-game goal streak and seven points (4g, 3a) overall after he ended a career-worst 27-game goal drought. His 24 assists and 39 points set new career highs, and he dressed in all 82 games. It should be noted that his previous season-best 38 points came in just 55 games during the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 season. Prior to this season, due to the pandemic and injuries, he'd never played more than 63 games (2021-22) in an NHL season.
Noah Cates: Cates, who turned 24 on Feb. 5, ranked sixth in scoring among all NHL rookies this season (13g, 25a, 38 points). He led all NHL rookies with 60 takeaways. Cates finished the season with 11 points (3g, 8a) in the final 14 games. He had four-game point streak (1g, 5a) from March 18th to 25th.
Tyson Foerster: Between the Flyers and the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Foerster had a 12-game point streak in March/April: five games (3g, 4a) for the Flyers and then seven games (2g, 6a) for the Phantoms. It was tied for the fourth-longest point streak by an NHL rookie this season and was the longest combined NHL/AHL (or AHL/NHL) streak for any player who spent time in both leagues this past season.
Cam York: York led all Flyers players in on-ice expected goals percentage at 5-on-5 this season (53.4 percent) following his recall to the NHL on Dec. 8. He ranked fourth among Flyers defensemen with an average 19:39 of ice time per game in his 54 games played. York's 20 points (2g, 18a) ranked tied for second among Flyers defensemen in that time span. Rasmus Ristolainen (3g, 17a) also had 20 points, while Tony DeAngelo's 28 points (7g, 21a) topped the blueline corps from the time of York's recall.
