NOTES: Boston presents another nice measuring stick for the Hawks—Chicago beat the Bruins in Boston in their previous meeting this season.
And the Hawks now are somewhat within reach of the pretty much meaningless President's Trophy.
The important thing is that Chicago has secured the best record in the Western Conference, first place in the Central Division and home ice through the first three rounds of the playoffs (should they get that far). This status has typically signaled a long playoff run for the Hawks in the past.
