In least year’s playoffs the Blues looked about as good as anyone and actually gave the Cup Champs their toughest test…. Last night they lost their 8th straight, and looked wildly inconsistent and lost in a 5-1 defeat in Philly.
Something has to give. The talent is there. And what’s weird is when you watch them, there are spells where they just can dominate a team.
But the balance is clearly off, and they are not gerttng big plays on either end of the ice at the key moments in a game.
Talking to sources last night and today, change is coming…
There is a lot of talk that they could even be looking at coaching changes….which feels crazy given Berube’s recent success in bringing a Cup to St. Louis….I am not buying any of the Berube stuff…i feel he is safe and really should be safe..
The Blues do need leadership though…Would a Jonathan Toews make sense?
They also have the resources to go for a Chychrun. They have never really replaced Pietrangelo…
