Jonathan Bernier will make his third consecutive start in goal and coach Jared Bednar told the Denver Post that Sven Andrighetto will return to the lineup Friday when the Avalanche play Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center.

Bernier made 28 saves Wednesday for his 15th career shutout in the Avalanche's 3-0 win against Dallas at the Pepsi Center. He has a 4-4-0 record with a 3.14 goals-against average and .899 save percentage.
Semyon Varlamov, who has been ill, practiced Thursday but didn't make the one-game trip to Minnesota, so Andrew Hammond will be the backup for the second game in a row.
"I'm glad I'm feeling better," Varlamov told the Avalanche web site Thursday. "I had a chance to skate with the team. The team is traveling, there is no practice (Friday). I'll be staying (in Denver) with a couple guys and then we'll skate (Saturday) morning."
If he feels well enough, Varlamov could start Saturday night against Calgary at the Pepsi Center when the Avalanche open a five-game homestand.
Andrighetto, who has 12 points (five goals, seven assists) in 19 games, was a healthy scratch for the first time Wednesday and replaced by Gabriel Bourque, who had one shot and four hits in 9:02.
The other lineup change for Friday: defenseman Andrei Mironov draws in for Chris Bigras.
Center Nathan MacKinnon, who had three assists against the Stars, has 20 points (six goals, 14 assists) in the past 10 games, giving him 25 points (seven goals, 18 assists) in 20 games for the season.
The last Avalanche player to produce 20 points in 10 games: Joe Sakic, from March 20 -- April 9, 2006.
