Big news out of South Florida today as Elliott Friedman reports that Panthers have re-signed Barky to an 8x$10M deal.
Hearing Barkov extension comes in at 8x$10M, with majority coming in signing bonuses. Panthers step up and keep their captain.

Props to Zito for getting it done like he said he would: before the regular season started.
It’s another monster deal, but I feel better about this one than Bob’s (though still a little rich for my taste, but that’s just me). Now what magic does Zito have left in the bag to get a Huby deal done? Going to be tough. Some guys will have to be moved, or, Huby himself will be the one moved. Curious to see how that all works out down the line…
