After a bad game in Columbus, the Coyotes played a bad game in Vancouver against what was essentially a bad AHL team, thanks to a disastrous array of injuries.
And yet, because the Coyotes win when they should lose and lose when they should win so far this season, they won both games.

As for tonight, the Coyotes will be getting the Lightning on the second half of a back to back which will mean Louis Domingue will be in net for the Bolts.
Remember him?
He was the Coyotes back-up last year and at the risk of insulting Jeff Reese or Peter Ing, he was among the worst goalies ever. In six games he lost six times and had an .855 save percentage.
Of course, playing the team that deservedly cut him after giving him eleven chances, he will be OUT FOR REVENGE and play amazing.
But most likely, he'll be Louis Domingue and the Coyotes will win their third straight.
A win tonight would square their record at 5 and 5.
The Coyotes will counter with Annti Raanta, back after two games out sick. Jacob Chychrun remains on the sidelines while coach Tocchet will most likely make the worst possible lines, but Panik at least should come back in.
I predict a high scoring game, 75 to 11 for the Coyotes.
