Antti Raanta Returns (Raanta)

The Coyotes with their almost unbelievable 1-11-1 record will be back home tonight to take on the Buffalo Sabres.

There five game road trip...........let's just say it didn't go well.

My dinner is almost ready, and I was going to skip the obligatory game-preview when I learned the news that Anti Raanta is back! That being said, I hope you'll excuse the brevity. Some of you may even welcome it!

Apparently his lower body is now injury free. Hopefully we aren't talking about a John Wayne Bobbit situation here, but as long as the league continues to use the euphemism "lower body injury" I'm going to continue to assume they are all wiener related. I think it's just his groin (thank god) but seriously, the NHL is so stupid with this stuff. Injuries should be public knowledge. I demand it!

So Rannta is back, and his absence was definitely felt. The Coyotes, who used four different goalies so far this year, and two other ones as back ups, will certainly be happy to get their #1 guy back.

Hjalmarsson remains injured and he'll miss tonight's game. The Coyotes waived Adam Clendenning, which I assume means a defense featuring Dakota Mermis. This should be fun. I honestly don't know much about him and well, it's weird to cut a guy after you play him for 20 minutes, but it's also weird to healthy scratch Duclair when he's been one of your best players all year.

Such is the life of a Coyote.
