Ladies and gentlemen, hockey is almost back! With the start of training camp and the preseason on the horizon, those dog days of summer are pretty much behind us and the 2017-18 NHL regular season is less than a month away.
Of course, preseason hockey can only be so exciting as the game results very rarely demonstrate how well a team will perform in the regular season. Still, it is an opportunity to see a wide variety of talent on the ice and get an idea of what each player is going to bring to the table this year.
The Anaheim Ducks begin their preseason on Tuesday, September 19th on the road against the San Jose Sharks. It is the first of two preseason games against the Sharks, as they will faceoff again on Thursday, September 28th.
The Ducks will also play two games against the Arizona Coyotes and Los Angeles Kings. In addition, they will get their first taste of Vegas on Sunday, September 24th.
In total, Anaheim will take to the ice for seven preseason games, all against Pacific Division foes. They will get the pleasure of playing four of those games on home ice. Unfortunately, they will have to wait to take on the Canadian teams of the Pacific until the regular season.
