Tonight at 3:53 of the second period in a game against the Winnipeg Jets, Alexander Ovechkin scored his 600th career goal.
After being stuck on 598 for a week and a day (three games) Ovechkin scored twice tonight (so far) to set NHL history as the 20th player to score 600 goals.

If you consider that only Lemieux, Gretzky and Hull are the only other guys to do it in under 1000 games, it kind of puts in perspective how amazing he is. If you consider further that he's done it during a relatively low scoring era, while those other guys all did it in the 80s and early 90s when basically anyone could score 50 just by showing up, it's all the more amazing.
Ovechkin is unreal. Here's a cool song.
Good times!
