Tonight the Wild get Colorado on the back end of a back to back as the Avalanche hosted Tampa last night. The Lightning won that one in a shootout 4-3.
Avalanche bench boss, Jared Bednar, complained about his club consistently catching rested teams in the Avalanche back to back tilts following Colorado's travel to MSP. The schedule is what it is and every team has their share of the same scenarios,, and the Avalanche are the defending Stanley Cup Champs, so no one feels even the slightest bit sorry for them.
As for the Wild they are mired in a scoring drought and really need to take advantage of a tired Avalanche team if their coach is alluding to that.
Marcus Foligno is out with an lower body injury and Calen Addison is a healthy scratch tonight.
Dean Evason says that the league is too hard to have a specialist in the lineup. He is referring to Addison being a powerplay guy only and that his 5-on-5 play is n9t where it should be. That is what Calen Addison is, and to be honest he needs to be utilized that way and work the other five defensemen 5-on-5.
Addison brings an element to the Wild man advantage that they miss when he is not dressed.
