Over the weekend it was reported that Bruins forward Ryan Spooner was available. The New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, and San Jose Sharks had expressed interest. You can add the Vancouver Canucks that list, according to my sources. The Canucks are a fascinating team right now, as ownership and management don't seem to be in lockstep. And in my experience the ownership wins that battle every time. The Canucks are going to try to get better and compete right now.
#2: Kevin Shattenkirk

But for today I bring you #2 Kevin Shattenkirk. Shattenkirk is definitely available and despite the Blues situation the feeling is strong that he could be moved at the deadline. In my opinion the team to watch here is the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Bruins have also been involved, of course, but they seem to be shifting their focus a bit right now away from Shattenkirk.
Quite simply the Blues have the depth to make this move and improve themselves on the offensive side of the puck.
