A Premier Match-Up tonight in the NHL: Caps v Sharks (Capitals)

The Capitals have traveled to the West Coast to play the Sharks. The Sharks are good, and so are the Kings and the Ducks, but just like in rap music, East Coast is better.

The Capitals, the Wutang, Puff Dad and the Fam, me. It's just better.

It's the age old debate: is it better to stay full out and rack up the regular season victories and hit the Playoffs on a high?

The history of President's Trophy teams (more first round exits than Cup victories if I am remembering correctly) suggest that maybe you can't just turn it on when you want to.

Or maybe the NHL Playoff format just makes luck a huge factor in advancing. Who is to say?

Either way, the only thing we really know for sure is that Puff Daddy is super underrated. The guy was a hit producing machine and and a half-decent rapper. He gave us Mase and the Loxx.

One really weird thing I just learned via TSN is that the Sharks all-time record against the Caps is 44-14-7 - that is insane. Add in the fact that the Sharks will be getting Jannik Hanson for his first game tonight, their general excellentness, and home ice advantage against a team that just traveled across the country, and it looks good for a Sharks win.

If that happens, and it happens in regulation, it will be the first time the Capitals lose back-to-back regulation games since the end of November.

Hey you know who else is underrated?

Tonight's game should be good. I am a huge fan of double-header Thursday's, especially when the night-cap is a premier matchup between two of the NHL's best teams.

I guess I'll have to wait another night to watch the Americans!

Remember to try and keep your _____the most John Blaze.
