Well, here I sit in a very sunny and hot South Carolina. Just around 92 degrees at the moment. Here is the thing folks, the internet access is limited where I am staying, but much like EK, I do have a way to pass along my thoughts. So, while this may be the only blog today , you will be able to keep track of my thoughts and any updates I can pass along at my Twitter. Here is the link:

Well, I'm off for a week of vacation. Does this mean I'm completely gone from blogging? Well....no. However, this does mean that I will be traveling all day today to Charleston, South Carolina to see family.

So here's the thing. I try and entertain you from time to time by bringing my opinions on different subjects. This time, I'm turning it around. I can check my comments (although I'm not abl

2008 Predators Prospect Camp: Notes and Quotes Added

Well, my one day of summer hockey has come and gone. It was the first chance Pred fans had to see the new faces from the 2008 draft, and some of the younger faces in the previous drafts. The drills were entertaining and most of all it was nice to be next to the ice, watching hockey players do their best. I have some thoughts on specific players (from what I saw on my end of the rink anyways), and

An In-Depth Look Revisited/ Preds Trade Niskala to the FLYERS UPDATE

*Just announced across the wire that the Preds have made a deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. One of the favorite teams to deal with as they get another D-man from the Preds. This time it is Janne Niskala sent to the Flyers in exchange for forward Triston Grant and a 7th Round Draft selection in 2009. I don't know much about Grant, so I"ll let our Flyer friends fill us in. From what I can tell, th

Because it is the latest trend: LIVE BLOGGING OF THE DRAFT! - QUOTE UPDATE

Well everyone else on the site is doing it and I may as well also. Here I am in section 102 of the Sommet Center waiting for the Draft to start and to see just who the Nashville Predators will draft and of course cover any trades that may or may not go down.

So, I realize that Paul McCann is the likely go-to spot for the live blog, but thanks to those of you who are stopping in and checking out

HUGE DAY/ Mason Traded to the Blues/ Ellis signs to 2 yrs at 3.5 mill.

Wow, talk about waking up to a totally different world. The goaltender issue is solved this morning. With some inter-divisional trading, Chris Mason has gone to the St. Louis Blues for a 4th round pick, the 111th pick in the draft.

That move cleared the room for Dan Ellis, who has signed a multi-year contract with the Preds. Length and terms of the deal have yet to be released, however once I h

Happy Father's Day

Well, I wanted to take the time this afternoon to say Happy Father's Day to my own dad Michael, and to all the fathers out there. I think all of us who have been fortunate enough to have a father to look up to while growing up are extremely lucky. I have been very lucky in the fact that throughout all the career goals I've had (from lawyer as a young guy, to ESPN, and now to NHL Play-by-Play) my f
