Zipay had the deal as 1 year/4.5 for Naslund but then changed it to 2 years. I'm not sure for how much right now, but I am runn

Free Agency Lunacy - Day 1 Recap

As defensemen rolled off the market at extraordinary prices, including Brian Campbell going to Chicago for a whooping 56 million/8 years, then throw in an aging center warranting a staggering 20 million/2 years offer from Vancouver. So far the theme of the free agency class of 2008 is, "what cap?!?" Perhaps Glen Sather felt left out of the overspending fun when he decided to give Wade Redden 6.5 m

Rangers Land Wade Redden! Update 8:00pm

Well no actually, I am live from my lowly office cubicle that happens to be situated across the street from Madison Square Garden. But, hey doesn't being close count for something?

Anyhow, I'll be updating this as free agency day progresses as fast as being stuck at work will allow. Feel free to put any confirmed/unconfirmed rumors or just any thoughts on any potential signings and let's just s

Who Stays, Who goes?? Free Agency is Looming

With July 1st just around the corner it would seem that all Rangers' unrestricted free agents will be entertaining offers come Tuesday. With Straka seemingly heading back home to the Czech Republic, Avery & Sather in complete disagreement over his worth & Jagr in complete and utter limbo, this Rangers team could have a complete different look and feel come training camp in September. All signings

Rangers' Draft Results - Defenseman Michael Del Zotto Picked in First Round

After all the speculation, anticipation and conjecture that the Rangers may move up, I even saw a rumor that the Rangers were going to try to trade with LA for the 2nd spot, instead the Rangers just stood firm and waited to see who would filter down to the 20th spot.

They chose Canadian OHL defenseman Michael Del Zotto, who is considered to be an extremely offensive minded D-Man that loves to

Dolan VS Bettman 2 - Legal Pads of Fury: This Time it's Personal

As I am sure most of you have already read that the NHL has officially filed a claim to the U.S. District Court to allow them to seek retribution against the NY Rangers' management in response to them filing a law suit against the league back in September concerning the controlling rights to the Rangers' website. The league won the suit and already has assumed control over the Rangers' site and a

Sean Avery, Stylist to the Stars?? – Some Draft Thoughts

Sean Avery's internship with Vogue magazine this summer must have really opened a few secluded doors in Avery’s subconscious personality. As reported by fashion blogs and People Magazine, Sean Avery will now be venturing into a partnership with Lauryn Flynn formally of Calvin Klein to start their own fashion consultant company.

With Avery’s future with the Rangers very much in question

All Quiet on the Rangers' Front

As the Stanley Cup finals just concluded its third Game last night with the Penguin's finally able to return the favor back to the Wings after taking a shellacking in the first two games, the Rangers have been sitting idle as time briskly ticks down to free agency.

It seems that both sides are interested in Jaromir Jagr returning for another year with the Blueshirts. John Dellapina of the D

07-08: The Season that Wasn't

Five days after the demise of the Rangers' season it's hard to contain the scattered roaming thoughts of what went wrong. Did Glen Sather overcompensate for his prior free agent spending sprees and hold back too much this past trade deadline? It seems to me that Sather who was happy how the team was playing after the All Star break failed to act on some of the shortcomings that appeared earli
